What are the common refrigerants in refrigerator dehumidifier

Why has Freon disappeared for more than half a century
Refrigerators are household appliances that every family will prepare, and some families in the South will buy a dehumidifier for their wet homes. Although from the point of use, one needs refrigeration and the other needs dehumidification, but the two principles are relatively similar, both are to reduce the air temperature as much as possible.
Since it is to reduce the air, then the refrigerant is essential. Do you know what refrigerants are used in the refrigerator or dehumidifier at home, and what are the characteristics of these refrigerants
In the last century, the author always heard the word & quot; Freon & quot; and most of the time, the term appeared together with the refrigerator. Freon is the refrigerant of household refrigerator in the morning. Freon usually refers to & quot; difluorodichloroform & quot;, that is & quot; R12 & quot; which was commercialized by DuPont in 1931 and put into production in large quantities.
In the late 1920s, R12 production reached its peak. However, when the ban began in the 21st century, the world’s R12 emissions into the atmosphere had reached 20 million tons.
It was not until 50 years after the use of Freon that people noticed that freon and its derivatives were swallowing the ozone layer in the atmosphere. The Antarctic still has a huge ozone hole spreading to Africa. Although the United States began to ban the use of Freon since 1974, there are still many manufacturers producing this product in the world, and it was not until 2010 that the total ban was realized.
China has gradually cut down the production of R12 since 1996. In September 2010, China issued the list of controlled ozone depleting substances in China, and the use of CFCs and its derivatives (R11, R22, R113, etc.) has been completely banned. However, due to the huge amount of household appliances using freon refrigeration, the use of freon in China is still high.

When Freon was banned, another refrigerant, R134a, was widely used.

R134a & mdash; & mdash; R12 alternatives < / div > and
R134a, whose chemical name is 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane, is the most widely used medium and low temperature environmental protection refrigerant after the complete prohibition of R12 Freon. R134a is non flammable, non explosive, non-toxic, non irritant and corrosive, and has good safety performance.
The thermodynamic properties of R134a are similar to those of R12, and the heat transfer performance of R134a is better than that of R12. Moreover, R134a does not contain chlorine atoms and will not destroy the ozone layer in the air. After R12 was completely banned, R134a was widely used in refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, water dispensers, automobile air conditioning and other fields. Moreover, R134a can also be used in aerosol propellant, medical aerosol, insecticidal propellant and so on.
The boiling point of R134a is - 26.1 ℃, which is a very suitable boiling point for both refrigerators and dehumidifiers. However, R134a also has its disadvantages: the greenhouse effect potential value (GWP) of R134a is as high as 1320, which is one of the six main substances limiting greenhouse gas emissions in the 1997 Kyoto Protocol.
In recent 60 years, the trend of carbon dioxide growth in the air, so what refrigerants will neither cause ozone hole nor produce greenhouse effect? R600a just meets this point.
R600a & mdash; & mdash; new refrigerant
R600a, i.e. isobutane. It widely exists in petroleum gas, natural gas and cracked gas. R600a refrigerant has high evaporation latent heat, strong cooling capacity, good flow performance, low transmission pressure, low power consumption and slow load temperature recovery.
R600a refrigerant is compatible with various compressor lubricants. It is mainly used as ultra-low temperature refrigerant, and the refrigeration system composed of R22 is used in - 80 ~ - 120 ℃ ultra-low temperature refrigeration device. It is also used as foaming agent for foamed plastics and used as a refrigerant instead of R12. However, the flammable and explosive characteristics of R600a make the corresponding products must be sealed for transportation.
This paper introduces three kinds of common refrigerants, but the Freon R12 can no longer be used. If the refrigerators, dehumidifiers and other household appliances need refrigeration, they should be replaced as soon as possible for environmental protection.
